2. Deshaun Watson will pass for 350 yards vs. Chiefs

For the Houston Texans to give themselves a shot to compete against the Chiefs in Week 1, they must have great success through the air and that is where Deshaun Watson comes into play. Watson is going to have to make plays for the Texans with not only his ability to keep plays going, but he’ll need to be on point throwing the football, too.

In the regular-season game last year vs. the Chiefs (Oct. 13, 2019) Watson finished 30-of-42 for 280 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions, and the Texans won that meeting. Fast forward to Jan. 12, 2020 in the Divisional Playoffs, and Watson finished 31-of-52 for 388 yards with two touchdown passes and no interceptions … and the Texans lost by 20 points.

Both times the Texans were competitive at times in those games, and a big reason was because of Watson, but in the game with his better stats the team lost. This time, Watson will finish with a stat line of 35-of-50 for 352 yards with two touchdowns and one interception because Watson will have to have solid numbers for the Texans to stay in this game.
