Week 12: Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans

Final Score: Texans 43, Jaguars 37 (Overtime)

There is so much to unpack that happened in this game. First, there were offensive records aplenty, including Matt Schaub throwing for 527 yards and five touchdowns (which is tied for the second-most in a game ever). Next, Andre Johnson put the team on his back on the way to 273 yards receiving and the game-winning touchdown in overtime.

On the flip side, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert was knocked out early and paved the way for career backup Chad Henne to bombard the defense for 354 yards and four touchdowns. Most of those yards went to Top 5 draft pick Justin Blackmon, scouring corners for a career-high 236 yards of his own.

It seemed like neither defense was terribly interested in stopping the other, as missed tackles and burned secondaries led the way to one of the Texans highest-scoring affairs ever. As mentioned before, the best play of the game came right after a nightmarish sequence of events.

Schaub threw a costly interception with 3:30 left in overtime, but after a quick third-and-out, the Texans were able to get the ball back. Johnson took a short screen pass from behind the line of scrimmage nearly 50 yards to the house, and the rest was history.
