Tight End

This last position I considered a few different places but ultimately went with tight end. The Houston Texans utilized their tight ends in the round and pass game nicely last year. But a more dynamic pass catcher in the middle of the field could really open things up.

There are some big names on the free agent market this season in Hunter Henry and Eric Ebron. Anyone of these players would be the best pass catcher at the position since Owen Daniels.

Henry probably has the highest ceiling of the group being the youngest, but the concern with him would be the time he’s missed in the past due to injuries. He likely garners a big payday, so maybe not the best option.

The Texans saw first hand what kind of damage Ebron could do this season. Ebron’s highlight reel tip-toe catch in the back of the end zone over Lonnie Johnson has made its way into NFL commercials for all of us to remember.

In the draft, a player like Thaddeus Moss from LSU could be a nice addition late in the process. Moss played well for the national champions and he has the NFL bloodline being the son of Hall of Famer Randy Moss.

The Texans have dynamic players in every other position on offense. Adding a tight end that could stretch the field could really see improvement in an already explosive offense.
