1. Kony Ealy, DL
Kony Ealy is a player who needs to be scouted very closely because at one time he was a player in the NFL who was able to to have three seasons to start his NFL career with sack seasons of four, five and five sacks. In his first four NFL seasons, Ealy played in at least 15 games per season, and of his 65 career games, he made 19 starts.
Now with the Houston Roughnecks, Ealy has a chance to rebuild his career, and that could be a big gain. If he’s able to get his career back in the right direction, then who knows just how far Ealy can go in his NFL career if he so chooses.
As for the Texans showing potential interest, he has to be on the radar for his past potential, and teams always need help on the defensive line, which is an offseason need for the Texans, too.
In his NFL career, Ealy has collected 92 tackles (53 solo) with 15 career sacks in games with the Carolina Panthers, New York Jets and the Oakland Raiders. Ealy also was cut by the Dallas Cowboys this past offseason.
Ealy will be playing on a Roughnecks team, and his XFL debut will be highly watched by fans and scouts alike.
