Depending on the result of the Kansas City Chiefs game early in Week 17, that will determine if the Houston Texans can move up in the playoff seeding when they take the field.

The Houston Texans might have an opportunity to move up in the AFC Playoffs, and they will know once they take the field this Sunday as the Texans have a late afternoon start when they host the Tennessee Titans.

The Texans will be at least the No. 4 overall seed in the AFC, and right now they’d be hosting the Buffalo Bills in the Wild Card round of the playoffs. Now if the Kansas City Chiefs were to be upset by the Los Angeles Chargers in the early afternoon game in Week 17, a win over the Titans by the Texans would jump them to the No. 3 seed in the playoff bracket.

The only difference is the No. 3 seed in the AFC is they will play the yet to be determined No. 6 seed in the playoffs which could be either the aforementioned Titans, the Oakland Raiders or the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Looking at the 10-5 Texans, the player to be interested in this game for his performance from a couple weeks ago is DeAndre Hopkins.

Hopkins against the Titans in Week 15 totaled six receptions for 109 yards, and this season in 15 games played, he has 104 receptions for 1,165 yards with seven touchdowns.

Also remember Hopkins has been limited in practice this week with an illness.

For the Titans, watch quarterback Ryan Tannehill because remember if the Titans win they are in the playoffs. In Week 15 against the Texans, Tannehill passed for 279 yards with two touchdowns and one interception.

Below is how to watch and listen to the Texans vs. the Titans, as the Week 17 game takes place this Sunday in the late afternoon slate of games:

Date: Sunday, Dec. 29
Start time: 4:25 p.m. ET
Location: Houston, TX
Stadium: NRG Stadium
TV Info: CBS
Radio Broadcast: SportsRadio 610 (KILT-AM), 100.3 KILT-FM, Mega 101 FM (KLOL-FM)
Live Stream: Fubo TV

The Action Network as of Friday morning (Dec. 27) has the Texans as +3.5 underdogs in the game. That is most likely for the fact the Texans won’t be playing for anything other than the win as the Chiefs are -8 favorites in their game against the Chargers.

If the Chiefs win earlier in the day on Sunday in Week 17, most likely the Texans won’t play their top players for the entire game, that is unless head coach Bill O’Brien and the Texans coaching staff don’t want the team to get off their game so to speak.

According to 506Sports.com announcing the game will be Jim Nantz and Tony Romo, the No. 1 broadcast team for CBS.

Next. Texans can still clinch No. 3 seed in AFC Playoffs. dark

This game will be interesting either way for the Texans because if they do have something to play for in the playoff seeding, that is great, but they could also play spoiler to the rival Tennessee too, which is always fun.
