In a Monday morning report, it is believed that the Houston Texans will be without Will Fuller more multiple weeks, including the Wild Card playoff.

Houston Texans wide receiver Will Fuller could be one of the best players in the NFL if he could stay healthy, but that is the issue, staying healthy. In a report by Ian Rapport of the NFL Network on Monday, Fuller is now out for Week 17 against the Tennessee Titans and longer.

Kevin Patra of NFL.com wrote the following about Fuller in a Monday article:

"“Fuller suffered the groin injury just 18 snaps into Saturday’s win and catching two targets for 11 yards. Following tests, Fuller has an outside chance to play in the Texans’ first-round playoff game, and will likely be available if Houston advances, Rapoport added.”"

This is a big deal for the Texans and an unwanted situation for the Texans offense entering Week 17, even though they have already clinched the AFC South championship. The Texans are the No. 4 seed and still have a shot to move up to the third overall seed in the AFC South with a win and a loss by the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Texans defeated the Titans in Week 15 in Tennessee, and the Chiefs are facing the Los Angeles Chargers, so most likely the Chiefs are the favorites to win that game on Sunday.

As for Fuller, he’s missed five games, plus didn’t make it out of the first half this past Saturday in the 23-20 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Fuller is a great player to have opposite DeAndre Hopkins, but he’s often injured, which causes some concern moving forward.

Hopkins this season has collected 49 receptions for 670 yards with three touchdowns, plus he’s averaging 13.7 yards per reception.

The most games Fuller has played in a season is 14 games dating back to his rookie season, followed by a season of 10 games, and last year he only played in seven games due to tearing his ACL in Week 8.

This time it is a groin injury, and those are tricky to recover from, and that is probably even more so for a wide receiver. Not having Fuller for the regular-season finale is doable, but hopefully he can return to the roster for the playoff game, because he’s needed and will only make the offense better.

The Texans have an issue in front of them with Fuller’s injury, but now it is time for the rest of the offense to step up. They didn’t have their best game on Saturday, and now with Fuller’s injury, things have gotten a little tougher until he’s able to return.
