Deshaun Watson is one of the great young players in the NFL. Watson has been impressive this season, and look for him to have a big game in Week 15.

Going back to last season, Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson has been very exciting to watch. He’s thrown for 4,165 yards, 26 touchdowns and just nine interceptions in that span of time.

The question remains if his offensive line can help him sustain that success he had last year. Watson was sacked 62 times last season, so having a consistent offensive line to help him out has been great so far in 2019.

Watson has been sacked 38 times through 13 games this year, and the addition of Laremy Tunsil has paid off because it essentially cut the sacks in half going back to last year. Max Scharping and Tytus Howard were great in protecting the mobile Watson, and while Howard is out for the season, he proves to be a great asset for the Texans in the future.

Once everyone figures out their roles and the team starts communicating with each other, Watson can lead the Texans to another AFC South division title.

The Texans lost a rough game vs. the Denver Broncos last Sunday in Week 14. The Texans were discombobulated on both sides of the ball.

Watson ended the day with a 63.1 rating, and he threw for 292 yards, one touchdown pass, had two rushing touchdowns, and he also threw two interceptions.

Week 15 wasn’t a great week for the Texans, so they must regroup before a clash with the rival Tennessee Titans on Sunday. If Watson becomes more comfortable in the pocket, he can pull off a much-needed win in Tennessee.

To do so, the Texans need to get the wide receiver and rushing game going in order to win on the road, playing a team that has won four straight. The Texans are in “win-now mode” and want to create a winning mentality in that locker room, and that all starts with their leader, Watson.

Both the Texans and Titans are 8-5 overall entering Week 15, and this game means a lot to both teams heading down the stretch because they meet again in Week 17.

Watson has a lot of weapons outside, including DeAndre Hopkins, Will Fuller and Kenny Stills. It is just a matter of them executing the play and having Watson find them. In Wednesday’s press conference, Watson gave his thoughts on the loss to Denver as provided by this tweet from Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle:

The Texans are a good team on paper and have what it takes to win big-time games, as they’ve shown this season against the Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots.

The Texans have difficulty in protecting their franchise quarterback and being consistent, as he has the talent and can play in big-time moments. If they protect Watson against the Titans, the Texans and Watson could have a very good day.
