2. DeAndre Hopkins will surpass 1,000 yards for the season

Going into the Week 14 AFC showdown, the Houston Texans have DeAndre Hopkins, who has 903 yards on 86 receptions. Hopkins needs 98 yards to surpass the 1,000-yard milestone for the third consecutive season and fifth time in his career.

The prediction for Sunday is Hopkins will total eight receptions for 106 yards and one touchdown, which would be his first 100-yard game since Week 8 against the Oakland Raiders. Those predicted final numbers would mean Hopkins will average 13.25 yards per reception on Sunday against Denver.

Last season when the Texans defeated the Broncos, 19-17 and Hopkins had 10 receptions for 105 yards and a touchdown.

Most likely Chris Harris will be the cornerback covering Hopkins on Sunday, while the opposite side cornerback will be Davontae Harris. Hopkins will have another tough challenge as he did last Sunday when he squared off against Stephon Gilmore, finishing with five receptions for 64 yards and no touchdowns.

Hopkins and the Texans know they can’t afford to lose this game, and if Hopkins can gain the over 100 yards receiving — against a Broncos defense that is 210.6 passing yards per game — Houston will win this game, and for their Week 14 game, the belief here is Hopkins will do just that.
