Week 13: vs. New England Patriots

Here is the toughest game the Houston Texans will have, and to be quite honest this is a tough prediction to make because the Texans should be considered Super Bowl contenders.

The New England Patriots have only one loss this season, and in the past the Texans haven’t been able to get over the hump of the Patriots, with the Texans being all-time 1-10 against the six-time Super Bowl champion franchise. In fact, the Texans have lost eight consecutive times against the Patriots.

Just by history alone the Texans must prove to everyone they belong in the same conversation as the Patriots, and with how injuries have hit the Texans this season at wide receiver and in their secondary, who is to say how healthy they will be once this game rolls around?

The Texans need to play at the very highest level they possibly can in this game, and even with the last two games against the Patriots being played close (36-33 and 27-20), there is still the tough part of stopping Tom Brady for four complete quarters. The Texans (and many other teams) have problems doing that, and without J.J. Watt adding a little extra pressure to the offensive line of the Patriots, this will be a tough game for the Texans to win.

Prediction: Patriots 27, Texans 20
