The Houston Texans starting offensive line could be back for Week 9 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

After a knee injury against the Kansas City Chiefs took out of the starting line up, Houston Texans’ 2019 first-round draft pick, Tytus Howard was having an excellent rookie season anchoring the right side of the offensive line for quarterback Deshaun Watson.

Texans went through trial and error looking for a replacement at right tackle after swing tackle Roderick Johnson suffered a neck injury in the defeat against the Indianapolis Colts the following week. In Howard’s absence, the Texans signed free agent Chris Clark and Dan Skipper from the New England Patriots’ practice squad to cover for the rookie’s temporal departure from the starting unit as he rehabbed his injury.

Howard was a huge part of the Texans’ success in which Watson wasn’t sacked for two consecutive games as the offense was clicking, and the ball was being thrown in a timely fashion. Since Howard’s injury, Watson was sacked six times, and the Texans had a 1-1record. It is yet to be determined if Howard will play in Week 9 against the Jacksonville Jaguars after recovering from an MCL injury against the Chiefs in Week 6.

The starting right tackle for the Texans returned to the practice field this week after not taking part in practices the last two weeks and took the plane to London with the rest of his teammates. Laremy Tunsil and Howard are both officially listed as questionable against the Jaguars but will have the opportunity to start on Sunday morning.
