There are no big surprises on the inactive list for the Houston Texans on Sunday, but there are some big names for this franchise listed that won’t be playing against the Oakland Raiders.

The Houston Texans have the usual number of players on the inactive list for Week 8 as they prepare to face the Oakland Raiders at NRG Stadium. Of those players, the biggest name for this Sunday not playing for the team is wide receiver Will Fuller (hamstring).

Others on the list are cornerbacks Bradley Roby (hamstring) and Johnathan Joseph (hamstring/neck), plus safety Tashaun Gipson (hamstring/wrist), meaning the secondary of the Texans will be without some of their top players on a unit that has struggled already this season.

The Week 8 inactive list for the Texans also includes inside linebacker Tyrell Adams (no injury listed), center/guard Greg Mancz (concussion), and offensive tackle Tytus Howard (knee).

This list is the most extensive that have been listed as inactive for the Texans this season, as many of the players on the inactive list are very needed in this AFC showdown.

Luckily for the Texans the loss of Fuller isn’t as bad as it could be because they still have DeAndre Hopkins, Kenny Stills and Keke Coutee at wide receiver, plus the Texans are facing a Raiders secondary that isn’t the greatest either.

Speaking of defense, the secondary of the Texans is all beat up and not having Roby and Gipson, plus the veteran Joseph will make a difference too. If the Raiders want to defeat the Texans they must take advantage of the secondary of Houston.

Also not having Howard on the offensive line will make a difference as it did a week ago. Not only does the absence of Howard hurt the offensive line, but missing multiple games hampers his progression too. The Texans knew Howard would miss multiple weeks with his knee injury, but it still doesn’t help matters against the Raiders.
