1. DeAndre Hopkins will have best game of season so far

The overall season of superstar wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins hasn’t been up to his high standards, but if last Sunday is any indication of what he can achieve, the best is yet to come, because Hopkins hasn’t had a “standout” game just quite yet.

Hopkins last Sunday had nine receptions for 106 yards with one touchdown reception on 12 targets. Hopkins had just 26 yards after the catch in the 106-yard performance, and his best yardage game of the season is at 111 in Week 1 against the Saints.

In between those 100-yard performances was an 88-yard day against the Atlanta Falcons, but also in those five games there were no touchdown receptions, meaning this season Hopkins hasn’t had touchdown receptions in back-to-back games.

Oakland’s cornerbacks are rookie Keisean Nixon, Daryl Worley, Nevin Lawson and Trayvon Mullen entering Week 8 per the depth chart at ESPN.com, so the Texans could really shine with not only Hopkins, but with the rest of the wide receivers on the team, too.

That will change this week as the secondary of the Raiders isn’t the greatest, and one of the three players who actually had an interception for them this season was traded to the Texans. If there ever was a game for Hopkins to “break out,” this is the game for him to do so.
