The game that fans of the both the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts have been waiting for all season long has arrived. Here is how to watch.

First place in the AFC South is on the line for on Sunday in Week 7 where the Houston Texans will be on the road at the Indianapolis Colts where the Texans have a 4-2 record, and the Colts are 3-2 overall and coming off a bye week.

Both the Texans and Colts also have a win against one of the best teams in the NFL, the Kansas City Chiefs, with the two teams having those wins in consecutive weeks of each other, being the only two teams to defeat the Chiefs.

Though both teams have solid quarterback play in this game with the Colts standing strong with Jacoby Brissett and the Texans having a top-tier quarterback in Deshaun Watson, the real story of this game could be the running backs for each team.

More from Houston Texans News

Indianapolis will be lead at running back by Marlon Mack who had 101 carries this season for 470 yards, averaging 4.7 yards per rush. Mack also has two rushing touchdowns, and is coming off a Week 5 game where he rushed for 132 yards on 29 carries.

This season Mack has two games of 100-plus yards rushing as his other game was Week 1 against the Los Angeles Chargers where he totaled 25 carries for 174 yards and one touchdown.

Mack has just two rushing touchdowns this season, with his most recent touchdown run coming in Week 3 against the Atlanta Falcons.

At running back for the Texans Carlos Hyde has been the leader with 99 rushes for 426 yards, averaging 4.3 yards per carry, along with three rushing touchdowns. Duke Johnson has 37 carries for 239 yards with a 6.5 yards per carry average as the second back on the Texans, plus he has 11 receptions for 105 yards and one touchdown.

It is safe to say keep an eye on the running backs for both teams today, because they could be the main difference in one of the two teams winning in Week 7.

As for the odds for this game, the Colts are -1 favorites in this home game for them, with those odds courtesy of the Action Network. So this game is a really close call for both the Texans and Colts, and the oddsmakers believe the score between these two teams will be very close.

Calling the game in the TV booth for CBS will be Greg Gumbel and Trent Green.

In ’18, the Texans won against the Colts in Week 4 by a 37-34 score, but lost the next two meetings in Week 14 by a 24-21 score, and in the playoffs by a 21-7 score.

Sunday’s game is huge for both teams, and though it isn’t a make-or-break game, a win could go a long way in the standings the later the season moves along.

This should be an exciting game, and whether the Texans or Colts win, a win will be a nice advantage to have when their second meeting arrives on Nov. 21 in Week 12.
