The possible battle between Houston Texans wide receiver Will Fuller and Atlanta Falcons cornerback Isaiah Oliver is one to really watch in this game. It is most likely Desmond Trufant will be tasked to cover DeAndre Hopkins, so the “second” matchup to watch is Fuller vs. Oliver.

Watson will be smart to challenge Oliver because of the fact of how good Trufant is, but Oliver isn’t a pushover, though according to Matt Urben of Falcons Wire, Oliver is being targeted by the opposing quarterbacks a lot this season.

In a late-September article by Urben of Falcons Wire, it states the following about Oliver:

"“However, even considering Oliver’s upside, the fact that quarterbacks are targeting him this often is not a good sign.”"

That brings us back to the potential of Fuller this week and what he has the chance to accomplish on Sunday against the Falcons and their No. 2 cornerback option. Fuller hasn’t had his breakout game yet this season like he had last year against the Miami Dolphins, though that was the game where he was injured.

This year alone, Fuller had just 14 receptions for 183 yards, averaging 13.1 yards per reception with no touchdowns. Fuller returned this season after tearing his ACL, so that could be mixed into those numbers as well, but once he’s completely comfortable with everything, expect his game to skyrocket this season.

That process could (and should) take a big leap into the positive direction on Sunday as this is a great chance for Fuller to help the Texans offense get out of the funk they were in last Sunday when they lost to the Carolina Panthers.

Watch Fuller vs. Oliver this Sunday because it could be a sleeper matchup which could decide the game, and how each team’s season will fare from here on out depending on the outcome.
