The Houston Texans have a tough challenge ahead of them this weekend as their Week 3 game is against the Los Angeles Chargers on the road. Which players should everyone watch this week?

Here is the interesting part of the Houston Texans following the first two games of the 2019 NFL season, and that is exactly how good or bad is this team? The Texans went toe-to-toe with Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints in a Week 1 loss, then in the second game of the season the Texans struggled against Jacksonville but won that game.

So who exactly are the Texans this season? One thing we do know is the Texans have talented players who are having some solid seasons, and they will be much-needed in this game against the Chargers.

Speaking of the Chargers, they also are also 1-1 this season with a 30-24 win over the Indianapolis Colts, but last Sunday they somehow lost to the Detroit Lions, 13-10. The Chargers are also without star running back Melvin Gordon, who is still holding out due to contract issues, but his replacement Austin Ekeler hasn’t been that bad either through the first two games.

There will be more on Ekeler later, and if we’re talking about replacement running backs, the Texans have seen good play from Carlos Hyde this season. Hyde has taken over the role from Lamar Miller following his ACL injury, so thus far through the first two games, a third-round pick for Hyde is turning out well for the Texans.

With this game being played at 3:25 CT on Sunday, the Texans and Chargers each have a test in front of them, but the following players will need to stand out for their respective teams to gain a win in Week 3.
