Question No. 1

What are your thoughts on the Jacksonville Jaguars roster this season? Is it the roster you expected the team to have during this past offseason?

It’s certainly different from last season. The Jaguars cut veterans — Malik Jackson, Tashaun Gipson, Jermey Parnell — in salary cap moves. The addition of Nick Foles was clearly a “need” move. I did not have expectations for the team’s roster going into free agency but felt the team did a good job of finding players to provide depth. The draft is better than some think.

Question No. 2

What are your thoughts on Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson and his career progression as he’s early in year three? Do you think he’s a Top 10 QB in the league?

I think he hovers somewhere around the back end of the top 10. He is immensely talented. It is a sore subject in Jacksonville since the Jaguars could have had him or Patrick Mahomes instead of Leonard Fournette. Watson will continue his ascension toward the quarterback list. He will get better with an offensive line that is stronger and more dependable.
