Texans vs. Saints: 5 Players to watch in Week 1

Monday Night Football features the Houston Texans at the New Orleans Saints, and there will be players who are “must watch” in the Week 1 opener.

The first of two Monday Night Football games for Week 1 will feature the Houston Texans, the reigning AFC South champions, taking on the host New Orleans Saints, who are the reigning NFC South champions.

The game features future Hall of Fame selection Drew Brees at quarterback for the Saints, and the Texans have one of the best young quarterbacks in the NFL with Deshaun Watson, entering his third season.

The Monday Night Football showdown also features two of the very best wide receivers with DeAndre Hopkins of the Texans, and the Saints having Michael Thomas, who is the highest-paid wide receiver in the league.

New Orleans also brings star power with running back Alvin Kamara, while on defense the Texans have J.J. Watt, meaning this 7:10 p.m. ET (6:10 p.m. CT) Monday Night Football game has star players everyone wants to watch, and quite possibly the quarterback play will stand out the most.

As the game gets closer to kickoff and the 100th season of the NFL begins, here are five players to watch. The game will air on ESPN being the first of two Monday Night Football games being played in Week 1.
