Training camp is all but here for the Houston Texans, but there are four players who will be on the roster bubble.

Today the Houston Texans officially begin their 2019 NFL training camp as they begin defending their AFC South championship, plus putting the bad taste of how last season ended behind them.

Now going into the season, some don’t believe too much in the Texans as USA Today projects the Texans being 6-10 overall, which would be five more losses than they had a season ago. Even with the lack of enthusiasm around the Texans on a national level, there is still a lot to see with this team when it comes to the start of training camp.

Houston is set at some starting positions like quarterback Deshaun Watson and wide receivers DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller, and on defense there are defensive end J.J. Watt and edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney whenever he returns to the roster as he is having contract issues with the team.

There are others on the roster who are most likely returning to their starter’s role, but some who will be named later in this article are on the roster bubble for not just being a starter, but possibly making the 53-man roster.

Now here is the exciting part for all Texans fans: players being on the roster bubble means there is some stiff competition ahead in training camp position battles. There will be position battles between many on the offensive line, running back and tight end on the offensive side of the ball. Defensively, there should be position battles and tough decisions that will need to be made as well.

As training camp is now here, next are four Texans players who should be on the roster bubble as they will have to battle strong and tough as they work to earn their roster spot for the 2019 season.
