2. J.J. Watt

The return to greatness by J.J. Watt this past season following two seasons full of missed games to injuries was maybe the biggest spectacular of all for the franchise as he helped lead them to the 2018 AFC South championship.

Watt seems to be getting back to his old form from when he was a Defensive Player of the Year, and if there is any player on the defense of the Texans who causes more fireworks on the field – well, that is an opinion that can be debated.

In his return in ’18, not only did Watt play in all 16 regular-season games and in the playoff game, he had 16 sacks to his credit, getting close to his career season-high of 20.5 sacks, which he’s achieved twice in his career.

Watt is a player that any team would love to have on their roster, and that is a fact. There aren’t many players who work more at his craft in the entire league than Watt, plus being 30 years old and making plays on defense gives him the veteran presence, but he still is a player that makes plays when needed the most.

Simply put, Watt is the biggest force on the defense of the Texans, he brings the fireworks to the defense each game and he is on pace to be an even more special player on the roster for 2019.
