1. Have the best month of football in his life

All of the aforementioned information and suggestions on how to earn a roster spot come down to one “simple” task for Damarea Crockett in his quest to make the 53-man roster, and that is this … play the best month of football of his life.

Crockett is not only going to have to impress the Texans coaching staff, but he’s going to have to jump off the page and be the brightest star of the Texans running backs who are fighting for their football lives.

In his three seasons at Missouri, Crockett played well at times, but he’s really going to need the same type of production he had as a freshman in college, and not only that, but show he’s able to become the third running back the Texans need especially in training camp reps and in preseason opportunities.

Crockett believed in himself enough to skip his final season at Missouri, and though he wasn’t drafted by any team in the seven-round NFL Draft, Crockett has a chance in front of him that not many players get, and it will be up to him to play the best football of his life up to this point.

That’s easier said than done because there are plenty of others thinking the same way in the battle for their roster spot with the Texans.

For Crockett, he left college early for this opportunity, and that decision has brought him to this point of his career where he has to showcase his skills in the very best possible way against some strong competition.
