The Houston Texans still need to fill roles within the roster, and free agency is the way to add players who are needed for the team to have the proper depth to their roster.

Looking at the current depth chart of the Houston Texans, there is more left to the imagination than what should be, because there are free agents still looking for a team who could really help out the franchise on both offense and defense.

Sure, the Texans are the reigning AFC South champions and they hosted a playoff game, but when it mattered the most the Texans looked their worst as their last game played was a wild card playoff loss to the Indianapolis Colts, a team they have to also play twice during the regular season.

Houston has talented players on their roster, there is no doubt about that, but looking back to last season, where the Texans were hampered was on the depth of their roster as they suffered multiple injuries and their overall depth showed as the franchise had to make a trade at the deadline and give up a fourth-round pick in the process.

If the Texans want to add to their depth following the completion of the draft and as they wait for the offseason camps to begin, the best way for the team to improve is by signing players who are free agents.
