Houston Texans: A closer look at signed undrafted rookie free agents

Tyron Johnson, wide receiver (Oklahoma State): Johnson played for both LSU and Oklahoma State during his three collegiate seasons, and in those years he played in a total of 27 games. In 2018 with OSU, Johnson had a career-high 53 receptions for 845 yards and seven touchdowns. For his three seasons in the NCAA, Johnson totaled 12 touchdowns with 80 receptions and 1,288 yards, averaging 16.1 yards per reception. Coming out of high school, he was a top-ranked wide receiver, and at his Pro Day he had a 40-yard dash time of 4.34 according to NOLA.com.

Drew Lewis, linebacker (Colorado): Lewis played three seasons at Colorado from his sophomore through senior seasons. In 2018, the defensive tackle totaled 60 tackles (38 solo) with 5.5 tackles for loss and two sacks. That season, he also had one interception and four passes defensed.

Ira Lewis, defensive tackle (Baylor): The defensive tackle was at Baylor for four seasons, and in 2018 he played in 13 games, where he collected 29 tackles (17 solo) with 3.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. During his three seasons on the field at Baylor, Lewis has 22.5 tackles for loss, including 11.5 in 2017. That ’17 season, he totaled 5.5 sacks.

Stephen Louis, wide receiver (North Carolina State): The 6-2, 215-pound North Carolina State wide receiver didn’t play a full season at NC State last season following an ankle injury after just five games. Louis in his final season caught 12 passes for 154 yards and no touchdowns. His best season was his sophomore year (2016), where in 12 games he totaled 35 receptions for 678 yards and two touchdowns. For his junior year (2017), he caught 37 receptions for 10 games for 583 yards and two touchdowns.
