1. Week 7 and Week 12 vs. Indianapolis Colts

The regular-season meetings between the Houston Texans and the Indianapolis Colts last year saw each team gain a victory, but in all honesty, the late-season surge by the Colts in which they not only defeated the Texans late in the regular season, but also in the playoffs, should be added motivation for the Texans in 2019.

The Texans and Colts face each other in Week 7 in Indianapolis, followed by a Week 12 game in Houston on Nov. 21 which is scheduled for Thursday Night Football, as that game is one of the three primetime games for Houston.

Since the start of the Texans facing the Colts in their history, they’ve won eight times in 35 games, but the last time these two teams faced each other was the Wild Card round, and Houston played one of their worst games of the entire season.

It is very simple for the Texans when they face the Colts, and that is stop Andrew Luck and T.Y. Hilton, but just as important was they were unable to stop Marlon Mack as the running back had 24 carries for 148 yards with one touchdown.

Houston must be not only competitive against the Colts, but they need to have better game plans and better execution when they face the Colts, or as we saw in their final regular-season game and in the playoffs, it will be the Colts who are back at the top of the division and making progress in the playoffs.
