4. Week 6: at Kansas City Chiefs

Facing the Kansas City Chiefs a few games into the 2019 regular season, the Houston Texans will be encountering their third team in six weeks which qualified for the NFL Playoffs last season as they faced the New Orleans Saints in Week 1 and the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 3, as all three of those games are on the road.

In their game with the Chiefs, the Texans will be taking on the reigning NFL Most Valuable Player in quarterback Patrick Mahomes and facing an offense that is very strong. On the other hand, the Chiefs will have to prove they’ve improved their defense because the Texans’ offense, when healthy and all players are on the field, is very dangerous.

If by Week 6 the Texans still have Deshaun Watson, Lamar Miller, DeAndre Hopkins, Keke Coutee and Will Fuller all on the field at the same time, this offense could be one of the more dangerous offenses in the entire league if given the proper protection by the offensive line.

The Chiefs made the AFC Championship last season, so this game will show even more than the season opener just what this team is made of because the Chiefs are very close to being the franchise that represents the AFC in the final game of the season, though the Texans have plans to be that team, too.
