The Houston Texans went into the offseason with more than a few decisions that have needed to be made, and thus far they’ve done that, along with many more to be made.
Houston has let veteran players walk to larger contracts, while they brought in others to fill those roles. Though the Texans haven’t made any long-term commitments in the free agency period this offseason, they have added some new faces who will have to make a impact from Day 1 or the offense and defense will struggle.

Losing players like Tyrann Mathieu, Kareem Jackson and Christian Covington will give the defense a new look, but the additions of cornerback Bradley Roby, safety Tashaun Gipson and safety Briean Boddy-Calhoun will be very much watched as they are the first players to be added to the Texans’ roster.
Although the Texans haven’t made a trade since the end of the trade deadline in the regular season, it does still have an effect on the 2019 NFL Draft as the Texans no longer have a fourth-round pick, but they did move up in the seventh round, so there is that.
