This is the second installment of the Toro Times Houston Texans 2019 NFL Mock Draft series.

The Houston Texans have three picks in the first two rounds of the 2019 NFL Draft, a luxury compared to last year when the Texans didn’t select a player until the third round. Overall, Houston has seven selections in this upcoming draft, picking at least once in every round except for in the fourth round.

With major needs on the offensive line and secondary, expect Houston to target these position groups. That being said, a lot of buzz was generated at the combine, with reports stating Houston was focusing on the running back group. Depth on the defensive line could also become a target with the exit of defensive linemen Christian Covington who signed as a free agent with the Dallas Cowboys.

Houston finished this past season at 11-5 overall, won the AFC South, but lost in the Wild Card round of the AFC Playoffs. Even with that success, and another season of seeing Deshaun Watson develop as a solid quarterback, there was still a lot left to be wanted from the team, especially when it came to the playoff loss.

Coming off the heels of a relatively quiet free agency period for Houston, the NFL Draft provides the Texans with an opportunity to reload going into the 2019 season.

Here is a 2.0 version of a 7-round mock draft for the Texans, as some of these players could become a member of the franchise in late April.
