The Houston Texans have some needs in free agency which could fix their team this offseason and listed are five players who fit that description.
Not every free agent is a perfect fit with the teams looking to add their services, though some are perfect fits for the Houston Texans this offseason. A fantastic example of that is when highly coveted Nnamdi Asomugha joined the Philadelphia Eagles, only to see him disappoint in a scheme that wasn’t native to his playstyle.
But sometimes, there is a perfect match, for example, the Texans signing Johnathan Joseph to fix their secondary in the same offseason, with better results, despite being a less sought after player during free agency.

The Texans would likely love to acquire big name free agents in Landon Collins, Le’Veon Bell and Ronald Darby, but each of those players might not be the best fit contractually and schematically. However, there are five free agents that I believe could seamlessly transition to the Texans offensive and defensive scheme for the 2019 NFL season.
Also looking back to the Texans and free agency, just last season the Texans signed a one-year deal with safety Tyrann Mathieu and he played just fine for the team, helping the secondary in their pursuit of the AFC South championship.
The next five players mentioned might not be the biggest names — although there are some big names listed — but they could play huge roles in helping the Texans reach the next level of success.
