4 mistakes the Houston Texans must avoid in the off-season

Not spending significant draft capital on offensive linemen
This is about as obvious as they come. The Texans allowed 62 sacks on the year (65 if you include playoffs) onto franchise quarterback Deshaun Watson. We have seen how good Watson can be when he is running for his life, but imagine giving him a line that will give him time to process what’s in front of him.
Currently, the Texans are sitting at the 23rd draft pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, meaning they probably won’t get the pick of the litter of offensive tackle prospects in Jonah Williams or Jawaan Taylor, but they should have some enticing options to choose from. The 2019 draft is one of the better drafts in recent years when it comes offensive line depth, as tackles Yodny Cajuste, Andre Dillard, Cody Ford (pictured), and Greg Little are all first-round talents that the Texans could be choosing from.
But their line won’t be fixed with just one draft pick. Adding another offensive linemen in the second or third round such as Chris Lindstrom, Tytus Howard, Dru Samia, or Chuma Edoga would go a long way into revamping their line.
If the Texans fail to address the line in the draft, they might look to overpaying for linemen. Or, even worse, will go into the 2019 season with their biggest weakness still exposed.
