3. T.J. Yeldon

If the Houston Texans want to add a younger NFL back who still has great potential then look no further than the 25-year old T.J. Yeldon, who has played his first four years with rival Jacksonville. Yeldon has a career total of 1,872 yards rushing with Yeldon coming off a 14-game season in 2018 where he totaled 414 yards on 104 carries. Yeldon had just one touchdown with the Jaguars last season, but he did average 4.0 yards per carry.

In his receiving abilities, Yeldon displayed a season where he had 55 receptions for 78 yards and four touchdowns, averaging 8.9 yards per carry.

Yeldon would be a nice addition to the Texans running back rotation as he could be a a good value to the roster and not only that, but a solid addition for the fact he’s a solid pass catcher and that would bring immense value to the Texans offense. Those abilities would give Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson another target on the offense which is the most important aspect of any change to the offense.

Another plus would be if the Texans were to sign Yeldon than he wouldn’t be a threat to them the two times they face the Jaguars each and every season in AFC South play. Yeldon played one game last season against the Texans where he had 12 rushes for 28 yards and five receptions for 40 yards and a touchdown on Oct. 21, 2018.
