4. Latavius Murray

Here is a free agent running back that could be very viable in the offseason as Latavius Murray has value this free agency period and to many NFL teams. Murray has played five seasons in the NFL, the past two seasons with the Minnesota Vikings. Murray is coming off a season where he had 140 rushes for 578 yards, averaging 4.1 yards per carry,  with six touchdowns.

Murray, who is 28 years old, also caught 22 passes (26 targets) for 141 yards, including a long reception of 16 yards for Minnesota in ’18. In his five total NFL seasons, Murray has proven to be a reliable as he has missed just three games in his career.

In his 77-game career, Murray has rushed for 3,698 yards with 34 touchdowns and an average rush of 4.1 yards per carry. He also has 128 career receptions for 883 yards, averaging 6.9 yards per reception.

Murray could add a nice, veteran depth to the Texans offense in a reserve role, as they could replace Alfred Blue with Murray and still have D’Onta Foreman and Lamar Miller in the lineup as well. They could also use Murray as more than a reserve role too, as he averaged more yards per carry than any running back on the Texans’ roster last season except for Miller.
