1. Jalen Ramsey, CB, Jacksonville Jagaurs

The Houston Texans need a game changer at cornerback, plus they need to get younger and just plain better in the secondary. Jalen Ramsey is a big question mark for the Jacksonville Jaguars as it is uncertain if after three seasons together if they are still in a happy and productive relationship.

That brings to the forefront this trade scenario, though it would probably cost the Texans more than a first-round pick since the Jaguars are in the same division, but it still could be worth it in the long run.

Ramsey has become one of the best cornerbacks in all of the NFL, and he would be an improvement over any of the Texans corners already on the roster. Though there are some excellent cornerbacks listed to be in the 2019 NFL Draft, none will be better entering the 2019 season than Ramsey.

For his 2018 season, Ramsey graded at 72.8 by Pro Football Focus, which is what he also graded at in his rookie season of 2016. In 2017, Ramsey had a season grad of 91.3, and to be be honest he is more of the player from where he graded at in ’17 than what his grade was by PFF in ’18.

The Texans need an impact player for Day 1 of the 2019 season to stop the red-hot Indianapolis Colts if they want to have a chance at repeating as AFC South champions, plus win in the playoffs, which is the ultimate goal of the franchise.

Though the price might be very high, taking a serious look at seeing if Ramsey is available via trade with the Jaguars wouldn’t hurt anything for the Texans. They really need to add a few impactful  players to their already talented roster and none would be better than Ramsey.
