Rashad Ross, WR, Arizona Hotshots

Week 1 stats: 5 receptions on 7 targets, 103 yards, 2 touchdowns

Offensively, I don’t think anybody was more impressive than former 29-year-old Arizona State standout Rashad Ross, who spent time in the NFL with the Tennessee Titans, Kansas City Chiefs, Washington Redskins, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, San Francisco 49ers, Buffalo Bills and Arizona Cardinals.

Not only did Ross offer the Hotshots with speed to burn, but he also showed off an impressive ability to track the ball overhead on those long ball catches. In the Red Zone, Ross used his 6-foot frame and long arms to create good separation with defensive backs, and got a touchdown on a fade pass doing just that.

Ross doesn’t just offer speed and ball tracking, he also has the lateral quickness and field vision to be effective on punt returns, which he showed on Sunday night despite not taking one to the house.

If Ross can build on top of his great week one performance where he boasted a Pro Football Focus grade of 89.0, he will surely find himself in the NFL again.
