What can the Houston Texans do to improve to become Super Bowl contenders in 2019?

The 2019 offseason could best be described as a pivotal one for the Houston Texans. Not only does the team need to rebound from a disappointing home Wild Card game loss, continuing the development of star quarterback Deshaun Watson will be essential.

Allowing 65 sacks in 17 games won’t help his development, meaning the Texans should patch the offensive line in both free agency and the draft. That’s not all, they also have needs at cornerback, tight end and offensive depth.

They won’t fix every hole in a matter of just one offseason, but they can fix a lot of them. However, it won’t be simple as they have late draft picks, and multiple key players to resign including Jadeveon Clowney, Kareem Jackson and Tyrann Mathieu.

For the Texans to resign their talent and revamp a roster that looked sluggish at the end of the 2018 season, some bold moves will need to take place.
