Round 2: Chris Lindstrom, OG, Boston College

From reading various scouting reports and watching tape, a player the Texans need to jump on as quickly as possible in the second round to improve their interior play of the offensive line quickly is Chris Lindstrom of Boston College.

For all intents and purposes, the feeling from many scouting reports is Lindstrom is ready to be a starter in the NFL instantly, which is what the Texans need from this draft. Currently the Texans have Zach Fulton at right guard and Senio Kelemete at left guard, and according to Pro Football Focus, neither player graded at higher than 56.0 overall out of 100.

That brings us to Lindstrom and what he can add to the Texans at the guard position. The Draft Network wrote this of Lindstrom in their detailed draft profile of the offensive guard:

"“Lindstrom as a true pass protector on an island by himself. When he was in those situations, showed an excellent anchor against power …”"

How else can it be explained that the Texans need help protecting Deshaun Watson better next season? If there is a pass protecting offensive guard available with this pick, the Texans need to draft their second offensive lineman of the draft and build a respectable and strong offensive line that will make the overall product of the offense much improved.
