Houston Texans inactives vs. Indianapolis Colts

The Houston Texans announced their seven inactive players for their Wild Card Round against the Indianapolis Colts.

The Houston Texans released their list of inactives ahead of their game against their AFC rivals, the Indianapolis Colts. Defensive lineman Carlos Watkins and Joel Heath are both inactive after nose tackle Brandon Dunn is returning from his ankle injury. Dunn had been out for the last two games after getting injured in Week 15 against the New York Jets. Cornerback Aaron Colvin is a healthy scratch for this game. Colvin had barely been seeing the field after returning his from the ankle injury that kept him sidelined for six games.

Recently signed defensive back and special teams contributor, A.J. Hendy will be inactive, he was brought in earlier this week after Mike Tyson was placed on IR with an ankle/knee injury that he suffered against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 17. Offensive tackle Roderick Johnson is also inactive for this game as all the other offensive lineman are healthy. Texans normally carry seven offensive linemen into game day.

Running back and special teams contributor Gregory Howell will miss this game due to a hamstring injury, Howell’s production will be missed on special teams as he is second on the teams with 9 special team tackles. Running back D’Onta Foreman will be active as the Texans normally carry a minimum of three running backs on offense. Rookie wide receiver Steven Mitchell is also inactive, Mitchell was promoted from the practice squad prior to their last game of the regular season against the Jaguars due to Demaryius Thomas season-ending Achilles injury.

Rookie wide receiver Keke Coutee is expected to be active and make his playoffs debut after missing the last five games due to a hamstring injury.
