3. Jadeveon Clowney will be the biggest difference maker

In the game previous games for the Houston Texans against Jadeveon Clowney has had mixed results. The outside linebacker has had a game of four tackles and two sacks in Week 4 against the Indianapolis Colts. Then as recently as Week 14, Clowney against the same Colts team was held to two tackles and that was it.

What about this playoff game for Clowney, who for the season has 47 tackles, nine sacks and one forced fumble for the season? Does the former No. 1 overall pick have it in him to become a difference maker for the Texans with everything and the season on the line?

The answer is yes, but it won’t be easy because the Colts don’t give up a ton of sacks to their quarterback Andrew Luck. On the other hand, the stat sheet won’t tell the entire story as to how Clowney will be a difference maker in this game.

Just having Clowney’s presence on the field will be a nice start for how the Texans play the Colts, and the outside linebacker can bring pressure or go into some coverage that will help free up on the defensive line, especially if he and J.J. Watt can cause havoc to the Indianapolis offensive line.

If that can happen one of the two players will gain the numbers on the stat sheet, but either way this is the game the Texans have been waiting for Clowney to be apart of. The AFC South champions need a big-time game from Clowney and if that happens the Texans will be playing in the divisional round next weekend.
