It all comes down to the Houston Texans and the Indianapolis Colts this Saturday in the AFC Wild Card round as to which team is the best from the AFC South, and which will extend their season.

Round 3 for the Houston Texans and the Indianapolis Colts takes place with all of the chips in the middle of the table as they get set to face each other with everything and their season on the line. The first of two AFC Wild Card games takes place this Saturday afternoon as the Texans host the Colts at NRG Stadium, the same location the Colts gained a 24-21 win over the home team one month ago.

Both previous games came down to just a three-point differential and both games saw quarterbacks Andrew Luck of the Colts and Deshaun Watson of the Texans play at a high level.

More from Houston Texans News

The Texans have slowed down just a bit recently, and after losing to the Colts — a game that snapped their then 9-game winning streak — they’ve just not played with the same offensive intensity. Houston  won the AFC South championship with the Week 17 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, so now they could be back on track.

Indianapolis is one of the hotter teams entering the playoffs. Last Sunday night, in a winner-take-all game against the Tennessee Titans, they won by a 33-17 score to make the playoffs. In earning the final spot in the AFC Playoffs, the Colts have won their past four games, and nine of their past 10.

Now just how will this game between the Texans and Colts turn out? OddsShark.com has the experts in Las Vegas saying the game is basically a coin flip with the Texans still being a -1 point favorite, which usually goes to the home team when the game is predicted to be close.

Now with everything on the line for both teams from the AFC South, what can you expect from this contest? Even with the ensuing 5 Bold Predictions, don’t expect to see a blowout on the scoreboard by either the Texans or the Colts. It is a safe bet and most likely result that the two teams will have a closely played game and just as close final score once time runs out.
