The experts in Las Vegas have the Houston Texans as a slight underdog to the host Philadelphia Eagles in Week 16 with both teams playing for a spot in the playoffs and division titles.
The Houston Texans still are fortunate enough to control their path to the playoffs, and not only that but win the AFC South and have a first-round playoff bye. The Philadelphia Eagles still have a chance to win the NFC East or at the least earn a spot in the NFC Playoffs with two games left on the schedule.
That bring these two teams to the forefront in Week 16 as the Texans visit the Eagles in a showdown of great importance as the Eagles are the early favorites against the Texans in Week 16 by -1 to -2.5 by most Las Vegas betting sites, which are listed on OddsShark.com.

The Texans are 10-4 overall this season, the No. 2 seed in the AFC Playoff standings, and one win away from winning the AFC South championship for the third time in the past four seasons.
Overall, the Texans have four AFC South titles since winning their first one back in 2011, but now they are playing for a chance to have playoff bye for the first time in franchise history.
Philadelphia is 7-7 entering this game, and not only are fighting with everything they have with all the momentum going their way as of late with wins in three of their past four games, trying to gain the Super Bowl magic they had last season when they won the championship.
As for this weekend, the Texans are coming off a not so great game when, though they did win this past Saturday against the New York Jets. It is easy to say the Texans can’t play as inconsistent as they did against the Jets and expect to beat the Eagles this Sunday.
Houston has the advantage with quarterback Deshaun Watson and wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins on their side, but the team must not overlook the Nick Foles or Carson Wentz and the offense of the the Eagles. Also the defense of the Texans defense with J.J. Watt plays at a high level most of the time, but the Eagles’ defense is playing strong as well.
This game is being overlooked and to be honest the Texans seem to be getting overlooked as well. They’ve proven they have the ability to win games varying ways, can handle clutch situations and take the victory with close scores, even when they don’t play great.
Houston is going to have to prove it again and “fly high” in Philadelphia to win the AFC South and keep their path to a playoff bye alive as well. Maybe they are the team nobody believes in and not the Eagles.
