The Houston Texans control their own destiny when it comes to making the playoffs, and for Week 14, here are 3 must-watch players to help achieve that goal as they lead the AFC South.

There are four games left on the schedule of the Houston Texans, and having a three-game lead on the Indianapolis Colts entering their Week 14 matchup, the Texans are well on their way to qualifying for the playoffs, and even more so, winning the AFC South championship.

Before that happens, the Texans will be facing the Colts this Sunday, and though they won their first meeting back in Week 4, the Texans aren’t facing the same Colts teams they took on a couple months ago.

Both the Texans and Colts are much improved teams than they were in late September. The Texans are now 9-3 overall and haven’t lost since defeating the Colts back in Week 4. The Colts are at the .500 mark with a 6-6 record, as they had a five-game winning streak snapped last weekend to the Jacksonville Jaguars as they were shut out by a 6-0 score.

Getting to this point of the season has seen the Texans have big games from a variety of players, There have been 300-plus yard passing games from Deshaun Watson, a 150-plus yards rushing game from Lamar Miller, over 100 yards receiving in a game from DeAndre Hopkins, a multiple field goal game by Ka’imi Fairbairn and a multi-sack game by J.J. Watt, just to name a handful of top performances from this team.

It is easy to see the Texans, even with nine straight wins, are one of the more underrated teams in playoff contention. The Texans have a clear path to the playoffs in front of them. A win will keep a three-game lead over the Titans (who won on Thursday Night Football), and that same win would push the Texans to a four-game lead over the Colts.

Though the Texans can’t clinch the AFC South this weekend, a win this Sunday would go a long way to a possible winning of the division in Week 15. Here are three players who are must-watch for the Texans this Sunday.
