The Houston Texans enter Week 11 by being selected as the early favorites for their game at the Washington Redskins this Sunday.

After having a week off to rest up any nagging injuries and to get away from the stresses of playing an NFL game, the Houston Texans are back at it for Week 11 and will be facing the Washington Redskins at FedEx Field in Maryland this Sunday with a six-game winning streak on the line.

The pressure from the rest of the AFC South is becoming more noticeable for the Texans as they are the leaders of the division at 6-3 overall, followed by the Tennessee Titans at 5-4 and the Indianapolis Colts at 4-5. The Jacksonville Jaguars — the 2017 AFC South champions — are 3-6 overall.

According to OddsShark.com, in facing the Redskins, the Texans are a -3 point favorite early in the week for their road game against the leaders of the NFC East, who are also 6-3 on the year. Washington is coming off a 16-3 win this past Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and have won four of their past five games. The last time the Texans played in Week 9, they fought tough against the Denver Broncos, winning 19-17.

Houston is one of the more underrated teams in the league as some believe they haven’t played the toughest of schedules. Though Houston hasn’t played the toughest schedule in the league, the Las Vegas experts believe in the Texans enough to make them the favorite, but also enough to make them the favorite against a division leader on the road at that.

Be on the lookout for how the Texans defense can pressure Alex Smith of the Washington Redskins, but more importantly, the Texans should focus on stopping the run and make the Redskins offense one-dimensional. If that happens, the -3 points should be enough for the Texans to reach, and not only that, but to also gain the win.

This should be a close, competitive game for both teams, but I tend to agree with the -3 mark given by the Texans against the Redskins as they seem to be the healthier and more talented team going into Week 11.
