1. Kareem Jackson

It is time for Houston Texans safety Kareem Jackson to gain praise this week as he played an impressive game against the Denver Broncos in Week 9 at Mile High Stadium. Jackson finished the game with four tackles and didn’t let those trying to gain possession of the football have much success in his area.

Jackson finished the AFC showdown with the Broncos by having four tackles and being  apart of a defense that held their opponent to under 20 points, which was enough for the win.

The safety of the Texans had a massive hit against the Broncos on Sunday, which was described by Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle as “crushing.” Wilson wrote this in his description of the big-time hit by Jackson on Sunday:

"“Jackson launched Lindsay off of his feet and the football bounced toward the bench. The veteran defensive back celebrated by flexing his biceps.”"

That is a great visual in written word by Wilson, and that is how the Texans defense is treating their opponents as of late. During this six-game winning stretch, the Texans defense has been outstanding, and a lot of that is due to the play of Jackson.

He’s been a big part of the turnaround from 0-3 to 6-3 this season, and there is most likely even more to come from the safety as the season rolls along.
