2. Lamar Miller

should any of us believe that Houston Texans running back Lamar Miller can gain 100 yards or more rushing for a third straight week? It has the possibility of happening because the Denver Broncos are allowing 135.8 rushing yards per game this season. Denver’s opponents are averaging 5.9 yards per play against them too.

Now for the Texans, that brings us Miller and at least the past couple weeks he’s been at his best, looking like how he did with the Miami Dolphins a few seasons ago following a slow start to this season.

Miller in the past two games has rushed for 233 yards on 40 carries with 133 on 18 carries vs. the Miami Dolphins a 100 yards on 22 carries against the Jacksonville Jaguars. In both of those game he also rushed for a touchdown. This season Miller had totaled 504 yards on 113 carries with two touchdowns.

The Texans should try committing to the rushing game against the Broncos this week as Denver is allowing teams to rush against them, an better yet if the rushing game can start out strong with Miller that could open up the passing game.

Miller is a very important part of the Texans offense as of late and since his game has picked up the rest of the offense has looked better too, which was a needed site after some bad games earlier in the season.
