The Houston Texans have won five straight, plus made a big trade, but the odds makers in Las Vegas are leaning to the side of the Denver Broncos in Week 9.

Week 9 of the NFL season is almost here and midway in the week the odds makers in Las Vegas have chosen the Denver Broncos to be the favorites in their game against the Houston Texans. That is even with the Texans being on a five-game winning streak and trading for Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas.

According to OddsShark.com, the Broncos are -1 favorites, with Vegas basically saying the game is a coin flip as who will win, though the favorite designation went to Denver with them being the home team. The Texans may have not taken down the toughest teams in their five-straight wins, but they are just playing who is on their schedule and taking care of business as of late.

In trading for Thomas on Tuesday before the NFL trade deadline, the Texans didn’t give up a lot in the process with a 2019 fourth round pick going to Denver, along with the two teams exchanging seventh round selections too.

This Sunday’s game should be fun for the fact Thomas is facing his former team for the first time in his first game with the Texans. The Texans improved on offense with this signing as Thomas will now have a solid quarterback in Deshaun Watson who is playing with a lot of  momentum following five touchdown passes against the Buffalo Bills last Thursday night, plus have DeAndre Hopkins to work with too.

Both the Texans and Broncos have had their ups-and-downs this season with the Texans being 5-3 overall and the Broncos entering the game at 3-5, losing to the Kansas City Chiefs, 30-23 last Sunday.

This isn’t going to be a game that will see a dominate team on either said, but most likely a game where it will come down to who plays the best in the fourth quarter as the one-point difference by the odds makers states at the mid-way point of the week.
