2. Blake Bortles will be sacked 3 times by J.J. Watt

The Jacksonville Jaguars are allowing just over two sacks per game this season with quarterback Blake Bortles being sacked 14 times this season though the first six games. Now for this Sunday when the Texans face Jacksonville, the prediction from here is that average will go up a bit as Houston will have at least five sacks this weekend, and three by J.J. Watt.

Watt is playing great football with his pass rush and others on the defense are starting to step up their game as well. The pass rush of Watt as of late has been scary for the Texans’ opponents and something to celebrate for Romeo Crennel’s defense.

Watt has seven sacks this season and that was even without having a sack in the first two games of the season. In each of the past four games Watt has recorded at least on sack, with two of those games having at least two sacks. The past two games Watt had one sack each and even though the sack numbers are great, don’t forget this season Watt also has 11 QB hits and 25 tackles for a loss.

As for the QB hits, Watt in the past three games — all wins for the Texans — has totaled four sacks, nine tackles, three tackles for a loss and five QB hits. Plus Watt has also forced two fumbles in that same span.

No matter who is defending Watt he’s going to make his way to the quarterback at some point in this game. Finally being healthy after the past two seasons of struggles, continue to watch for Watt and the havoc he causes to the opposing offense, as he and Bortles could become close on Sunday afternoon.
