The Houston Texans did just enough for the second consecutive week to gain a victory, their second of the season. Which players stood out the most in this win?

Seeing that the Houston Texans are finally able to get used to winning is one thing, but now seeing players starting to take over games and making their mark is something of great interest. The Texans are now bringing excitement as they work to reach the .500 mark in the standings.

That continued path this past Sunday night came when the Texans defeated the Dallas Cowboys in front of a national audience and did so in overtime. Not only was it an overtime win, but the Texans had fourth down stands on defense and even forced the Cowboys to make a decision to punt instead of going for it on fourth-and-1 in overtime.

Houston’s defense made a statement by allowing just one touchdown to the Cowboys in Week 5 and not only that they are now beginning to be feared with the way Jadeveon Clowney and J.J. Watt are playing in recent weeks.

Watt leads the NFL in sacks, tied with brother T.J. Watt of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Geno Atkins of the Cincinnati Bengals with six sacks each.

The Texans also had some great offensive play in the Week 5 win over the Cowboys, including play from DeAndre Hopkins, Deshaun Watson and the offensive line as they allowed just one sack in the OT win. Before the game the Texans’ offensive line was allowing an average of four sacks per game.

Though a lot still needs ironed out as the season progresses for the Texans, here are three standouts from the Week 5 victory, which pushed the Texans to 2-3 overall.
