The Houston Texans released their inactive list for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants with seven players listed for Week 3.
Once again the Houston Texans will be without two wide receivers this Sunday as they along with five others have been ruled inactive before Sunday’s Week 3 game against the New York Giants at NRG Stadium.
The Texans will be without wide receivers Keke Coutee and Sammie Coates Jr., and also on offense offensive tackle Roderick Johnson has also been ruled out for the game vs. the Giants. Defensively, the Texans will be without cornerback Kayvon Webster, outside linebacker Peter Kalambayi and defensive ends Carlos Watkins and Joel Heath.
Coutee and Coates would be really helpful to have on the roster today against a Giants secondary that has seen better days. Speaking of the Giants secondary, they have three players listed on the inactive list for Week 3 in cornerback Eli Apple, safety Kamrin Moore and cornerback Mike Jordan.
Also inactive for the Giants were linebacker Olivier Vernon, wide receiver Kaelin Clay, quarterback Kyle Lauletta and center Evan Brown. The Giants could really use Apple in this game as he’s one of their top defensive backs and would be very helpful to defend against both DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller.
Apple this season has four tackles and no sacks. In his three seasons with New York, Apple has totaled 104 tackles and one interception.
The Texans really need to take advantage of the opportunity in front of them. Last Sunday, they had an excellent chance to gain their first win of the season, but didn’t achieve that feat. Today a win is within reach once again, but they have to produce on the field and not just on paper to break what is an eight-game losing streak dating back to last season.
