2. DeAndre Hopkins
As well as both DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller played last weekend in the loss to the Tennessee Titans, this weekend as a little special feel for Hopkins to be the top guy on Sunday against the Giants. It also will help that Hopkins won’t be shadowed by Giants cornerback Eli Apple who is out with an injury, meaning the Giants won’t have their top defender covering the Texans’ top wide receiver.
Hopkins is also one of the more talented wide receivers in the NFL. Hopkins this season already had 14 receptions for 188 yards and one touchdown. He’s averaging 13.4 yards per reception and is coming off a game where he had six receptions for 110 yards and one touchdown, a game where he averaged 18.3 yards per reception. Against the New England Patriots in Week 1 Hopkins totaled eight receptions for 78 yards.
Even with the pass blocking issues by the Texans’ offensive line if that can just improve some, quarterback Deshaun Watson can get the extra time needed to find Hopkins who can really make a difference in this Week 3 game.
This isn’t a guarantee because of the issues with the Texans’ offensive line, but if that improvement happens and Watson can get into a grove, Hopkins is more than capable of having a very good day leading to many happy fantasy football players.
