The Houston Texans are hosting the New York Giants this week and for the home team they are being predicted as the winners in Week 3.

Those who run the sports books in Las Vegas are still predicting the Houston Texans as the top team in this Week 3 matchup against the visiting New York Giants, though the Texans and Giants are both winless on the year.

According to Oddsshark.com the Texans are -6.0 favorites against the Giants, with a predicted score of 28-12.5 for the game, meaning they believe the Texans will not only win the game, but easily cover the points spread as well.

The Bovada moneyline numbers, the Giants are at +220 and the Texans are at -260. Also with both the Giants and Texans when it comes to the Vegas points spreads this season, both are 0-2 on those as well.

What will make this game exciting for fans of wagering, fantasy football or those who just watch for the love of the sport is the wide receiver battle of two of the best in the entire NFL with DeAndre Hopkins of the Texans and Odell Beckham Jr. of the Giants.

Starting off with Hopkins, for the season he’s caught 14 passes for 188 yards and one touchdown. Hopkins has been targeted 22 times, 11 times in each game, and is averaging 13.4 yards per reception. His longest reception has been 31 yards this season.

Beckham has 15 receptions this season for 162 yards and no touchdowns. He’s been targeted 24 times this season, averaging 10.8 yards per reception. Beckham has had plenty of chances to catch passes, but thus far his numbers are all below his career averages. Eventually Beckham is good enough to fix these early season numbers.

This is just one of a few comparisons that will be fun to watch when each team is on offense. For example, both teams have had their struggles on the offensive line, so which team will actually have a passable pass protection in Week 3? WHich offensive line will continue to allow too much pressure from the opposing defense? Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson has been sacked seven times this season, while Giants quarterback Eli Manning has already been sacked eight times, so something needs fixed quickly.

Though neither team has a win though the first two weeks, this could still be a competitive game but will be no walk in the park for either team once kickoff arrives on Sunday, even with the Texans being predicted as the favorites.
