The Houston Texans released their final injury report Sunday morning with one of the inactives being a former No. 1 overall pick.

The Houston Texans listed seven players on their inactive list for Sunday’s Week 2 game against the Tennessee Titans, and one of those players is starting defensive end Jadeveon Clowney.

Others listed as inactive are Keke Coutee (wide receiver), Sammie Coates Jr. (wide receiver), Kayvon Webster (cornerback), Roderick Johnson (offensive tackle), Carlos Watkins (defensive end) and Christian Covington (defensive end).

For the Titans, their inactive players are: Cameron Watson (wide receiver), Jack Conklin (offensive tackle), Matt Dickerson (defensive end), Dennis Kelly (offensive tackle), Taylor Lewan (offensive tackle), Kendrick Lewis (defensive back) and Aaron Wallace (linebacker).

Clowney will miss this Week 2 game due to a back injury.

Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com wrote about Clowney missing Sunday’s game:

"“Clowney was listed as questionable with an elbow and back injury and was a limited participant in practice all week.”"

Clowney last week in the 27-20 season-opening loss to the New England Patriots had two combined tackles and no sacks. For his career Clowney has 160 tackles, 20 sacks and four forced fumbles. Last season Clowney played in all 16 games for the first time in his career. In that season he finished with 59 tackles, 9.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

This is a big loss for the Texans in Week 2 against the Titans, but an even bigger loss of opportunity for Clowney as both of the Titans offensive tackles are also inactive with injuries. Clowney has now missed 18 games in his NFL career since being selected No. 1 overall in 2014.
