Texans need to win against the Baltimore Ravens in week 11 to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Despite having a 4-6 record, the Houston Texans are still in the mix for a playoff berth.

Although they have a tough task ahead of them, as they prepare to face the Baltimore Ravens on Monday night.

Here’s a scouting report on the Ravens:

Strengths

The Ravens’ defense has remained a top-10 unit in the NFL with their ageless pass rusher like linebacker Terrell Suggs.

Suggs has 7.5 sacks this season, which is incredible when you put into perspective that he is 35 years-old.

The Ravens are tied  for10th in the league with 28 sacks and they lead the NFL with 16 interceptions.

The unit run by Ravens’ defensive coordinator Dean Pees has 11 forced fumbles throughout the season, which is good for 7th in the league.

What’s even more impressive is that they have the third best defense when it comes to points allowed, by only allowing 17 points per game.

Their pass defense is the reason why Ravens are currently slotted as the sixth seed, if the playoffs were to start today.

Weaknesses

The Ravens’ defense is ranked 26th in the NFL with 120 rushing yards allowed per game.

Meanwhile, the Texans have the sixth best rushing attack in the NFL while averaging 128 yards per game.

So it’s fair to say the Ravens will have their hands full with Lamar Miller and Alfred Blue in the run game.

The Ravens’ offense is a huge liability as they’re 17th in the league due to the fact that they’re only averaging 21 points per game.

Ravens’ quarterback Joe Flacco has nine touchdowns and 11 interceptions so far this season.

Flacco has struggled moving the offense down the field, since they’re dead last in the NFL with 165 passing yards per game.

The Texans’ secondary will catch a break with Flacco’s miscues on offense.

Prediction:

Monday’s game between the Texans and Ravens will be a low scoring affair with a lot of defensive highlights.

Although they are on the road, Houston will have a chance to win the game, if they run the football and limit Tom Savage’s turnovers.
